Just to say we received your report on Ben this morning – thank you. It makes very interesting reading and it sounds like you have given him a very thorough assessment. We recognise many of the strengths and weaknesses you identified and several of his teachers thought that the extra time in exams would be to his benefit – provided he uses that time wisely and you have suggested how he may do this!

Our children love working with Emma. She makes every effort to introduce herself to them and prepare them for her assessments. They look forward to her visit and enjoy their special time with her. Emma spends whatever time is required to discuss her findings with the children, staff and parents. She produces a ‘teacher friendly’ report that is full of advice and practical strategies for in class support. Our children have benefited from a thorough understanding of their difficulties and a wealth of ideas to help them move forward. Emma has also delivered some excellent In Service training to our staff, which was current, relevant and extremely useful. I would not hesitate to recommend her services to anybody looking for an Independent Chartered Educational Psychologist.

I have known Emma since about 2006 when she joined the Swindon Educational Psychology Service. We worked together in this team for 5 years. During that time, her enthusiasm and commitment to making a difference for children and young people by working closely together with schools, parents and pupils was always very evident. She has a positive and cheerful personality, is empathic and will always follow through with what she has committed to. Since I have started my own independent practice, we have shared some cases for mutual support and advice, indicative of the respect with which I have for her practice.

Thank you for your kindness and for identifying the positive approach required with Katie who has come away from the whole experience feeling re-assured of her ability and keen to succeed during her time at School.
